2022-2023: CHARGED UP
This year, the Robettes participated in the Charged Up Challenge presented by Haas. We built our robot in accordance with this year’s prompt, which was to place cones and cubes on poles and in boxes to score a set amount of points, along with balancing on a “charge station.” We named our robot after Mária Telkes, a solar energy engineer and pioneer for women in physics. We traveled to two competitions this year, the Lakes Superior Regional and the 10,000 Lakes Regional. In the 10,000 Lakes Regional, we received the Imagery Award, an award given to building and aesthetic excellence. Overall, this season has been Charged Up!
